Network Engineer

As a Network Engineer supporting advanced enterprise infrastructure in Doha, Qatar via Mind Stream, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of Cisco core routing, switching, SD‑WAN fabrics, and security deployments. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities include managing enterprise data center networks, configuring Cisco ACI and Nexus switches, deploying wireless networks and IP telephony, and maintaining comprehensive monitoring via Solar Winds.

You will execute routine network configurations, software upgrades, security remediation, and thorough troubleshooting across multi‑vendor environments. • Manage, configure, and support enterprise Cisco network infrastructure across data centres, WAN, and campus environments.
• Design, deploy, and maintain advanced routing and switching protocols, SD‑WAN architectures, and MPLS backbones.
• Administer enterprise firewall security policies, access control lists, and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) deployments.
• Oversee Cisco ACI data center fabrics, Nexus switches, wireless local area networks (WLAN), and IP telephony systems.
• Monitor network performance, traffic metrics, and system alerts utilizing Solar Winds and advanced telemetry tools.
• Execute proactive network maintenance, configuration backups, software upgrades, and vulnerability security remediations.
• Troubleshoot complex network anomalies, routing loops, latency bottlenecks, and connectivity failures rapidly.
• Maintain meticulous technical documentation, network topologies, IP address registries, and operational runbooks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 6 to 10+ years of progressive professional experience in enterprise network engineering and Cisco infrastructure support.
• Strong hands‑on operational experience with Cisco routing, switching, SD‑WAN, MPLS, and enterprise firewalls.
• Proven proficiency in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Cisco ACI data center fabrics, and Nexus switching.
• Practical experience managing wireless networks, IP telephony integrations, and Solar Winds monitoring suites.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and cross‑functional communication skills.
• Mandatory possession of a valid Qatar driving license for site visits and field interventions.
• Mandatory legal work eligibility in Qatar with local residency and immediate availability for contract deployment in Doha.

• Professional Cisco certifications (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Professional – CCNP Enterprise, CCIE written/lab).
• Advanced familiarity with network automation and scripting languages (Python, Ansible) for configuration management.
• Prior professional working experience in tier‑1 enterprise IT environments, banking, or telecommunications operators in the GCC region.
• Experience with cloud networking architectures (AWS Transit Gateway, Azure VNet peering) integrated with enterprise WAN.
