As a Network Security Engineer supporting QDS on a 6-month contract in Doha, Qatar, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of Fortinet‑based network security architecture, firewall policy administration, network access control, and troubleshooting. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities include deploying and configuring Forti Gate firewalls, managing FortiNAC user authentication and endpoint compliance, maintaining Forti Switch and FortiAP network fabrics, and resolving complex network security incidents promptly.

You will operate in a collaborative enterprise environment while partnering closely with client IT infrastructure and security squads.

• Configure, deploy, optimize, and maintain comprehensive Fortinet security solutions across enterprise network infrastructures.
• Administer Forti Gate next‑generation firewalls, security policies, VPN tunnels, and threat intelligence protection mechanisms.
• Implement and manage FortiNAC network access control, endpoint visibility, and automated policy enforcement.
• Oversee enterprise switching and wireless network management utilizing Forti Switch and FortiAP hardware architectures.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex network security incidents, routing anomalies, and connectivity bottlenecks promptly.
• Monitor network performance, security alerts, and log telemetry to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
• Coordinate network security changes, maintenance windows, and firmware upgrades in adherence to rigorous SLA standards.
• Maintain meticulous network documentation, firewall rule audits, configuration backups, and incident tracking records.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 4+ years of progressive professional experience in network security engineering, firewall administration, and IT support.
• Strong, demonstrable hands‑on professional expertise working extensively with Fortinet solutions and security hardware.
• Comprehensive working knowledge and practical proficiency in FortiNAC network access control, Forti Gate firewalls, Forti Switch, and FortiAP.
• Deep practical experience troubleshooting complex network security issues, connectivity failures, and routing protocols.
• Solid practical grasp of enterprise network architectures, wireless management, and secure perimeter defense principles.
• Excellent analytical problem‑solving aptitude, technical documentation skills, and strong cross‑functional communication capabilities.
