Head of Reinsurance - GCC Treaty & Facultative

Our client is an insurance company based in Doha,Qatar. Seeking to hire "Head of Reinsurance" in their office. The position reports to the COO.

Qualifications:

Academic:
Graduate and/or postgraduate any discipline
Professional: ACII from CII London and/or Fellow from III or any equivalent professional qualification.

Experience:

10 15 years with majority in GCC handling Treaty and Facultative Inward business particularly Property and Engineering.

Job Scope:
Treaty:

Handle renewal and administration of annual treaty programs.

Discuss with treaty leaders and follow market and obtain best possible coverage to thetreaty.

Quarterly analysis and work closely with Company actuary on the performance of treaty.

Prepare MIS and report to Management on regular basis.

Work closely with IT department in setting up treaty and suggest any improvement for therobust function of the operations.

Facultative

Shall be responsible for underwriting inward business from GCC countries except Qatarwhich will be handled by Direct underwriting team

To review the slips and take decisions on line to commit.

To ensure profitability of the inward business by prudent underwriting.

To go for regular market visits in GCC.

Endeavor to establish direct relations with cedents and procure more inward businessdirectly.

To monitor the performance of regularly and take decisions as may be required.

To provide MIS to the management on regular basis.
