An exciting opportunity to lead the Ground Procurement categories as Head of Ground Services Procurement, responsible for developing and delivering Category Strategies for all Ground Handling, Cargo Handling and Ground Services Equipment. This role builds relationships with major stakeholders across the QR Group and works closely with senior leadership to identify, evaluate and implement sourcing strategies that influence value through Qatar Airways Group spend.

• Lead strategy development for sourcing projects and deliver through a team of Category Managers across procurement categories.
• Conduct market research, benchmarking, and trend analysis to stay current with solutions, best practices, and supplier developments.
• Build and sustain senior stakeholder relationships, influence priorities and support policy compliance.
• Define and implement strategic SRM processes to ensure commercial rigor, service quality and continuous improvement.
• Lead cross‑functional negotiation teams to achieve joint value and deliver results within tight timelines.
• Develop clear business requirement views and sourcing options to target outcomes.
• Ensure policy compliance and uphold integrity, transparency and commerciality throughout sourcing projects.
• Evaluate and present complex sourcing options, providing sound recommendations, Category Planning, and sourcing plans for large‑scale projects.
• Negotiate large‑scale contracts and strategic procurement at senior level in a complex operational environment.
• Maintain category plans and report on procurement project benefits, savings, and transformational outcomes.
• Embed sustainability into procurement projects, products and services (e.g., TCO certification, energy consumption, lifecycle trade‑offs).
• Apply a Tier 1 Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program and manage supplier failures with clear RACI and processes.
• Support the VP Procurement and Logistics with tools to improve analysis, collaboration, sourcing and supplier relationships.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• Broad procurement experience covering sourcing, contracts, supplier management and procurement processes and policies.
• Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and support executive and C‑level leadership agendas.
• Deep market knowledge of Ground Handling, Cargo Handling and Ground Equipment, including multiple markets and service types.
• Extensive personal and company networks.
• Expert negotiator capable of delivering high‑value, complex commercial arrangements (e.g., >$10M).
• Risk‑oriented mindset with strong balance of risk and reward under policy constraints.
• Service‑driven mindset focused on supporting business growth and excellence.
