The Procurement Coordinator will work closely with theBSL Head Office Team and be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational procurement activities as per the needs of the organisation,ensuring purchases are made in a timely, cost-effective and compliant manner. The role will manage day-to-day tasks without constant supervision within a clearlygoverned process framework developing the core procurement knowledge,supplier relationships, and process expertise needed for further career development within the procurement function.
This will include:
- Supporting the maintenance andupkeep of the company's supplier management review and reporting process, asguided by the Procurement Lead.
- Assisting in building and maintaining positive working relationships with local Qatari and regionalsubcontractors.
- Ensuring adherence to the company's governance,processes, and procedures at all times.
- Support procurement activities for operational requirements, including issuing RFQs/RFPs and raising POs under the general guidance of the Procurement Lead.
- Follow procurement processes and governance in accordance with the procurement manual at all times.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders toclarify requirements and with suppliers to ensure timely, accurate delivery,resolving day-to-day discrepancies directly and escalating where needed.
- Assist in supplier evaluation, onboarding,and maintenance of the approved supplier list/database, including conducting due diligence checks on new suppliers prior to onboarding.
- Support the Procurement Lead in the tenderprocess and in supplier evaluation, onboarding, and database maintenance.
- Coordinate with finance on invoice or paymentqueries linked to POs and escalating issues or non-compliance promptly.
- Effectively use BSL procurement system toprocess transactions, while identifying and flagging opportunities for systemor process improvement.
- Carry out other transactional procurementduties as instructed, building the experience and judgment needed for greater responsibility within procurement over time.
- Work flexibly as part of the team, supportingworkload increases across the function as needed.
- RFQs/POsare issued within agreed time frames and free from material errors as measured against agreed KPIs.
- Consistentadherence to the procurement manual and governance framework with no materialnon-compliance findings in internal reviews or audits.
- Procurementdocumentation is complete, accurate and maintained in good order at all times.
- Approvedsupplier list and due diligence records are kept current, complete and compliant with onboarding requirements.
- Internalqueries and supplier related discrepancies are addressed or escalated within agreed response times.
- Positive,sustained working relationships with local Qatari suppliers evidenced bysupplier feedback and continuity of the supply base.
- Issues,discrepancies or non-compliance are brought to the Procurement Lead's attentionpromptly and clearly with follow-through until resolved.
- Meaningful suggestions for process or systemefficiencies are raised and where adopted, contribute to measurable gains.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in aprocurement or purchasing role.
- Knowledge of the applicable Qatar laws and regulations.
- Team player witha collaborative approach to working with stakeholders across the functions.
- Strong organizational and motivational skills.
- Ability to workunder pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Competence inthe use of IT, spreadsheets, word processing and database management.
- Must be able to coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic operating environment, working witha high degree of autonomy.
- Additional Language skills applicable to the Middle East environment would be highly desirable.

Bachelor’s degree from a recognizeduniversity, a background in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management,or a related field is an advantage.
