Job Description:

The Logistics Coordinator ensures smooth supply chain operations for offshore rigs, managing shipments, inventory, and compliance with Qatars regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supply Chain & Inventory Management:
o Coordinate cargo shipments (drilling equipment, spare parts, chemicals) to rigs via supply vessels/helis.
o Track inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment.
o Liaise with procurement, vendors, and customs for import/export clearance.
2. Offshore Logistics Support:
o Plan supply vessel schedules (in coordination with rig crews).
o Monitor fuel, water, and bulk material deliveries.
o Manage helicopter logistics (crew changes, emergencies).
3. Documentation & Compliance:
o Ensure Qatar Customs, MME (Ministry of Energy), and Qatar Energy (QP) regulations are followed.
o Prepare shipping manifests, customs paperwork, and HSE documentation.
4. Emergency & Cost Control:
o Handle urgent deliveries (e.g., broken equipment replacements).
o Optimize costs by comparing freight options and minimizing downtime.
5. Software & Reporting:
o Use logistics software (SAP, Oracle, or rig‑specific tools).
o Generate daily/weekly logistics reports for rig managers.

  • Requirements
  • Experience:
  • 3+ years in offshore/oilfield logistics (Jackup rig experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with Qatar Energy (QP) supply chain processes.
  • Certifications:
  • BOSIET/FOET (if offshore visits are required).
  • DG (Dangerous Goods) Handling certification (for chemical shipments).
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and logistics software.
  • Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
