We are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to oversee procurement activities for a major Oil & Gas restoration project, ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials in line with project requirements, contract conditions and approved procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate with project teams to establish procurement requirements, objectives and priorities.
- Support the identification and procurement of Long Lead Items (LLI), including tendering, bid evaluation and contract administration.
- Develop and maintain Procurement Plans covering long-lead items, spare parts and bulk materials.
- Monitor procurement progress, schedules and costs, identifying issues and supporting mitigation plans.
- Monitor Contractor procurement activities and ensure compliance with approved procedures and contract requirements.
- Review Contractor purchasing and contracting documents for compliance with project requirements.
- Support effective materials management and coordinate spare parts procurement.
- Monitor Contractor expediting activities and report potential delays in material delivery.
- Coordinate with EPC Contractors, suppliers, Engineering, Quality and Construction teams.
- Support fabrication priorities and supplier coordination to maintain project schedules.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Commercial, Marketing, Science, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Law or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a business-related function, including at least 4 years in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Demonstrable understanding of procurement best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of the Oil & Gas procurement market and key vendors.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Advanced computer literacy.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple and diverse tasks.
