Inventory Control & Analysis, Supply Chain & Logistics, Stocking
We’re looking for a hands‑on Supply Chain & Procurement Lead to manage procurement planning, merchandise planning, replenishment, purchase orders, supplier coordination, and inventory‑related decision‑making.
This role requires someone who understands both products and numbers. The person will determine what needs to be purchased, when it should be purchased, and in what quantities—based on sales performance, stock availability, incoming inventory, customer demand, supplier lead times, margins, and the available purchasing budget.
You will lead the team responsible for product sourcing, restocking analysis, procurement documentation, and inventory reporting. You will also ensure that every approved decision is properly executed and followed through until completion.
This is not a reporting‑only position. We need someone who can analyze information, make commercial decisions, assign actions, and hold the team accountable.
Key Responsibilities- Develop monthly purchasing and category plans based on sales targets, stock levels, incoming inventory, market demand and available budgets.
- Determine how many new products and restocks are required across different product categories.
- Review and approve initial purchasing quantities and restocking quantities by SKU, size, colour and location.
- Analyze sales velocity, sell‑through, stock coverage, reorder points, supplier lead times, returns, margins and seasonality.
- Evaluate available stock and possible transfers between Qatar and Dubai before approving new purchases.
- Work with Finance to control purchasing budgets, category allocations, committed purchase‑order value and available balances.
- Approve routine restocking, stock transfers, new‑product test quantities and purchase orders within agreed limits.
- Maintain complete visibility over draft, approved, in‑production, ready, shipped, partially received and completed purchase orders.
- Review purchase orders for product details, quantities, prices, sizes, colours, payment terms and delivery dates before confirmation.
- Coordinate with factories and suppliers regarding quotations, prices, MOQ, production schedules, quantities and delivery deadlines.
- Work closely with the product sourcing and trend team on new‑product opportunities, samples, product development and supplier communication.
- Follow production progress, identify delays early and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Compare ordered, shipped and received quantities and investigate shortages, excess quantities and other discrepancies.
- Monitor supplier performance, including order accuracy, production lead times, product quality and delivery reliability.
- Identify fast‑moving, slow‑moving, overstocked and underperforming products and determine the required purchasing or inventory action.
- Lead and coordinate the employees responsible for sourcing, replenishment, procurement documentation and inventory reporting.
- Establish clear responsibilities, deadlines, action trackers and follow‑up routines across the department.
- Provide weekly management reports covering purchasing, category performance, stock risks, incoming orders, budget utilization and required actions.
- Analyze significant changes in sales and category performance and recommend practical corrective actions.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, merchandise planning, buying or category management.
- Experience in fashion retail, e‑commerce, general retail or another product‑driven business.
- Strong experience in category planning, purchasing planning, demand forecasting and replenishment.
- Strong understanding of sales velocity, stock coverage, reorder points, safety stock, sell‑through and inventory turnover.
- Experience planning quantities by SKU, size, colour and…
