HVAC Senior Service Technician

Overview

Role involves servicing and operational support for Primepower, with compliance to schedules, procedures and health, safety and environmental policies.

• Internal:
  Service Admin, Service Manager, Operations Manager and Managing Director (if necessary)
• External:
  Clients / customers, Site Project Managers (if necessary)

• Comply with Primepower servicing schedules and procedures
• Ensure all equipment is prepared for hire in compliance with Primepower Green Card procedure
• Ensure all work performed reports are approved by the client (on site) and are legibly produced
• Ensure immediate response and minimal disruption to client’s requirements
• Ensure good housekeeping of work area and service vehicle
• Maintain a minimum spares level in the service vehicle as per procedures
• Effective troubleshooting to minimise downtime and unnecessary repair costs
• Customer satisfaction externally and internally
• Compliance to QHSE & ISO standards and procedures
• Compliance with 24-hour call-out policy
• Any other duties considered essential for effective operations and service

• Able to work the hours required to enhance the service division operations
• Ideally have a recognized qualification in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
• Be computer literate
• Good command of English language, spoken and written
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Able to work on own initiative and under pressure
• Able to work to strict time frames and achieve results
• Must be able to work to written procedures and comply with company policies
• Drive for results and customer focus

• Able to work long hours in demanding conditions under pressure

• Ability to read electrical drawings
• Possession of driving license essential
• Experience with HVAC and Temperature controls (Carrier/LG/York etc.) DX Packages Units
• Experience with HVAC and Temperature controls (Carrier/LG/York etc.) Air cooled chiller units
• Capable of basic administration and working to written procedure
• Ability to calculate cooling level based on site conditions

• College Degree in a Mechanical or Electrical field or relevant qualifications
• Experience with York, Carrier and Trane Chillers and DX and Split units

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant role or related field
• Experience with HVAC controllers from York, Trane, and Carrier, including training certificates for programming
• Dealer experience (York, Trane, Carrier)
• HVAC trade qualification from a recognized organization
• Experience with Chiller plant District cooling
• Experience in the rental industry
• Experience in repairing piston compressors and screw compressors
