Summary:
The Pipe Fitter Supervisor leads and manages pipe fitting operations on top-side and jacket projects within the oil & gas and offshore construction sectors. This role ensures that all piping work is completed safely to specification and on schedule. The supervisor oversees installation fabrication and hydro testing activities guiding teams with technical expertise and strong leadership. By enforcing quality safety and compliance standards and resolving complex technical issues the supervisor drives project success across demanding offshore environments.
This position is essential for maintaining operational excellence and team development on critical infrastructure projects.
- Lead and coordinate pipe fitting teams during installation, fabrication and hydro testing.
- Ensure all work meets project specifications, safety regulations and quality control standards.
- Oversee the assembly and installation of decks, risers and piping systems on topside and jacket structures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and performance evaluations to maintain safety and quality.
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in pipe systems.
- Prepare and maintain accurate work reports, progress updates and project documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement and other teams to support timely project delivery.
- Mentor and support the growth of junior fitters and foremen to strengthen team capabilities.
- Experience:
Minimum 10 years total. - As Supervisor:
Minimum 23 years in supervisory role. - As Foreman:
Minimum 10-15 years in pipe fitting; proven experience working on topside and jacket projects (required). - Deep knowledge of pipe installation, fabrication, deck and riser systems and hydro testing.
- Strong communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
- Proficient in standard office software and email systems for documentation and coordination.
- Willingness and ability to work in offshore or remote environments with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
