Second Shift Technician

Position Summary

• Respond to and attend to guest repair requests and communicate with guests or customers to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment or machines and carry equipment such as tools or radios.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut‑off valves for equipment and for building utilities.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as required.
• Communicate daily activities, problems and status to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repair, replace light bulbs and A/C filters and perform complete cleanup of the painting or repair area.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair equipment and guest‑room items, including plumbing, electrical components, extension cords, TV, internet devices and switches.
• Use the Lock‑out/Tag‑out system before any maintenance work and keep a record of work performed.
• Perform interior and exterior landscaping repairs and sprinkler maintenance.
• Use basic computer skills to input air‑handler schedules and make temperature changes.
• Follow all company safety and security policies; report problems, safety hazards, accidents or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; store flammable materials properly.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform, protect confidential information and company assets.
• Greet and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address their service needs, assist individuals with disabilities and express genuine appreciation.
• Support the team to achieve common goals, listen and respond appropriately to concerns of other employees using clear professional language.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects that weigh 50 lb or less without assistance and assist in heavier lifting.
• Move up and down stairs, service ramps or ladders; reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling and stooping.
• Enter and locate work‑related information using computers.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Driver’s License.
