Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as the Assistant Executive Director for Business Development, focused on driving organizational growth and strengthening partnerships. This role is critical in aligning business development initiatives with the organization's strategic goals, identifying new opportunities, and optimizing stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will cultivate a high‑performance culture centered on innovation, strategic planning, and measurable outcomes.

Through effective leadership, they will guide cross‑functional teams in market analysis, partnership development, and service expansion—ensuring business initiatives contribute meaningfully to the organization's long‑term success and impact. We are looking for a versatile professional, preferably with a consultancy background with experience in strategy, finance, and project delivery. The role involves analyzing business performance, supporting strategic planning, managing key projects, and providing financial and strategic insights to guide decision‑making.

The successful candidate will combine analytical skills with practical project management abilities to deliver measurable results.

Key Accountabilities
  • Implement policies, procedures, managerial controls, and departmental key performance indicator to ensure achievement of mission, vision, and strategic goals.
  • Lead and direct the hospital support services and provide administrative guidance to the clinical departments toward high quality of care and service.
  • Assist with establishing departmental strategic plans, examine, assess, and utilize all performance metrics on hospital activities and trends to implement corrective action to enhance service and performance levels and drive growth.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for the assigned areas of responsibility and ensuring compliance with JCI and other healthcare regulations, standards, and policies.
  • Develop long‑term objectives with the Department of Strategic Planning, that are turned into effective and affordable service development plans that link into the Corporate Plan, Clinical Services Plan and Facilities Master Plan for HMC.
  • In conjunction with the Executive Team and stakeholders, develop business cases that have potential for improvement and growth of the hospital.
  • Monitor monthly financial performance and expense reports assuring adherence to approved budget.
  • Collaborate with Department Chairs to identify fiscal requirements of assigned departments, develop budgetary recommendations, and monitor the expenditure of budgeted funds.
  • Promote, facilitate, and support an integrated approach to patient care.
  • Oversee design and implementation of processes for quality improvement activities, staff development, and performance review systems.
  • Streamline delivery of facility services in line with regulatory requirements and as per SLAs ensuring facilitation of smoother operations and compliance with quality and legislative standards.
  • Support the Chief Executive in planning and managing the hospital works, projects, buildings and infrastructure, and the delivery of related non‑clinical support services.
  • Oversee health and safety throughout the area of responsibility of the facility on behalf of the executive team, and in liaison with corporate OHS.
  • Contribute to the corporate governance of the hospital as a member of the executive team, looking after the needs of our workforce, aware of our commitment to meeting our budgetary obligations, working towards the objectives described in our business plan, and ensuring effective communication both internally and externally.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education

Any Bachelor's Degree.

Experience

10 years in Public/Private industry experience including 4 years in Healthcare Business Development activities.
