Material and Equipment Technician – Doha, Qatar

We are looking to hire a Material and Equipment Technician for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar. This is a long‑term contract, 2 to 4 years, on site and full time.

The incumbent is responsible for safe delivery of routine daily inspection, maintenance and preservation works for EPRS materials and equipment in EPRS facilities such as the RLIC warehouse and Frame Storage Yard in the Port area. The role supports emergency requirements, maintains manuals and record systems, executes inspection and troubleshooting activities, facilitates safe transport and unloading of materials, collaborates with vendors, ensures QA/QC, HSE procedures and permits to work, and follows safety, environmental and regulatory rules.

• Perform safe delivery of routine daily inspection, maintenance and preservation works for EPRS materials and equipment.
• Maintain and update operating inspection, maintenance and preservation manuals and record‑control systems.
• Execute inspection, maintenance, preservation and troubleshooting activities with routine warehouse inventory checks.
• Implement continuous improvement plans on the maintenance effectiveness process and take corrective actions.
• Execute load securing, transport, delivery and unload of EPRS material to and from specified destinations.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors for effective and efficient work within schedule.
• Ensure completion of QA/QC, HSE procedures and permit‑to‑work at worksites.
• Follow safety, environmental and regulatory rules and complete Control of Work (CoW) requirements daily.
• Identify and use the appropriate tools, materials and procedures before work.
• Adhere to a culture of reliability and continuous improvement.
• Understand and align with the Management of Change (MoC) process for procedural/equipment changes.
• Ensure accurate shift and crew change handovers in the appropriate log and compliance with guidance.
• Act as a member of the emergency response team and align with responsibilities defined in the Emergency Response Plan.
• Participate in emergency response exercises.
• Develop, maintain and update the inspection, maintenance and preservation database for EPRS materials and pipeline databases.
• Monitor and provide feedback on maintenance effectiveness and take corrective action.

• Minimum Higher National Diploma from a recognised university.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Valid IMDG certificate.
• Rigging & lifting certification or similar is preferred.
• Relevant experience in material warehousing, logistics procedures, material handling and daily operations.
• Computer literate.
• Good command of English – read, write and speak fluent English.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with appropriate priority.
• Self‑starter, self‑management, self‑drive and ability to work without close monitoring.
• Resilient under pressure (both internal and external).
• Strong ability to deal with competing priorities and complex issues.
