Team Leader - Network and Communications

VAM Systems is seeking a Team Leader – Network and Communications for its Qatar operations.

• Manage the services provided by the Infrastructure team to ensure high‑quality performance in implementations and networking, in compliance with IT guidelines.
• Deliver projects within cost, time, scope, and quality standards while maintaining the highest level of service availability and minimum downtime.
• Test and evaluate unified communications, telephony, and network systems to eliminate problems and improve performance.
• Liaise with network support staff at branches globally to evaluate their existing network infrastructure and propose optimization solutions.

• Academic:
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Experience:
  
  7+ years practical experience in a network environment as a network engineer, architect, analyst, or specialist, with design, implementation, and migration of complex network and communications projects.
• Certifications:
  
  Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCSP, CCIE) and Microsoft Visio.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  • Routing and Switching experience with Cisco IOS and NX‑OS (Cisco 2900, 3900, ASR, 3750, 4500, 6500, Nexus 2k/5k/7k/9k).
  • Firewall and load balancing implementation experience (F5, ACE, CSM, CSS, ASA, FWSM).
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VLAN, SVI, STP, VDC, VPC, DNS, DHCP.
  • Tools: MS Visio and Excel.
• Soft Skills:
  
  Creative problem‑solving, attention to detail, ability to work independently or as part of a team, strong interpersonal skills, project management, multitasking, prioritization.

Joining time frame: 2 weeks (maximum 4 weeks). Selected candidates will join VAM Systems – Qatar and be deputed to one of the leading banks in Qatar.
