Electrical Engineering, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
The Power Gen Supervisor is the primary supervisor for the maintenance, repair, installation and operation of electrical power generation equipment, water distribution systems, aircraft arresting systems, low and high voltage electrical distribution systems, devices, airfield lighting systems, exterior light systems, interior lighting and electrical systems and associated equipment. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).
PrincipalAccountabilities
- Perform CSC inspections on containers as needed.
- Perform quality inspections before, during and after maintenance and complete required documents.
- Assign work assignments to subordinates and complete quality checks on maintenance records.
- Provide technical assistance, training and OJT, and document training.
- Supervise operation, maintenance, inspection, testing, repairing, reconstitution and storage of GPMS equipment and systems.
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints and malfunction data to analyze failures.
- Use various test equipment, load banks and diagnostic tools to operate, maintain, inspect, test, repair and reconstitute GPMS assets.
- Prepare GPMS assets/equipment for shipment in accordance with technical orders, manuals, checklists, regulations and UTC configuration listings.
- Prepare and complete required documentation for DoD, USAF FIU, Amentum and associated forms, and update historical records.
- Operate material handling equipment as required.
- Inspect hazardous materials and coordinate disposal as needed.
- Perform other tasks and duties as directed by Amentum/USAF, including assisting other departments or performing skilled/unskilled jobs as directed by the Superintendent.
- Perform temporary duty (TDY) in the area of operations as required.
- Conform to Amentum/USAF safety, hazardous material and quality standards and supervise erection, construction and operation of GPMS power generation equipment for exercises and contingencies.
- Ensure all tools, PPE and clothing remain safe, secure and serviceable, reporting deficiencies.
- Proficient in personal computers, Windows OS and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Knowledge of military or civilian maintenance systems, quality assurance and supervisory techniques.
- Ability to plan employee workload and administer direct supervision.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints and technical data for maintenance, inspection, testing, repairing, reconstituting and storage of equipment.
- Must be able to obtain CSC Certification.
- Valid home country driver’s license and ability to obtain host nation driver’s license.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five years of military or civilian experience in power generation operation and maintenance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization (U.S. citizenship required).
- Physically capable of lifting, pushing or pulling a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Experience with high voltage power generation equipment (5000 volts or higher).
- Two years of experience in a supervisory position.
Hourly. The compensation range or hourly rate is a good‑faith estimate. Actual compensation may vary based on job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, collective bargaining agreements and applicable laws.
