• Production & Operations Management: Planning and scheduling workflows to meet production deadlines, optimizing fabrication processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste, ensuring the availability of materials and equipment for production runs.
• Quality Control & Safety: Ensuring all products meet quality standards and specifications, enforcing safety regulations and procedures, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, conducting regular inspections and addressing safety hazards immediately.
• Leadership & Team Management: Supervising, training, and mentoring fabrication staff, conducting performance evaluations, fostering a positive team culture, and resolving conflicts or staffing issues as they arise.
• Technical Expertise & Troubleshooting: Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work orders, troubleshooting machinery or process malfunctions, implementing technical improvements to reduce downtime.

• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is often the minimum requirement. Many employers prefer an associate degree or a bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Experience: Significant experience (usually 5+ years) in a fabrication or manufacturing environment, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
