The CCTV Draftsman will be responsible for preparing detailed CCTV and security system layouts, drawings, and schematics based on project requirements, site surveys, and engineering inputs. Day-to-day tasks include developing CAD drawings, updating as-built documentation, coordinating with project engineers and site teams, and ensuring designs comply with local regulations and company standards. The role involves reviewing technical specifications, integrating CCTV designs with other ELV systems, and supporting tender submissions with accurate drawings and material take-offs.

The CCTV Draftsman will also assist in resolving design-related issues during installation and provide timely revisions to reflect changes in scope or site conditions. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha.

• Candidates should possess strong technical drafting skills, including proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software and experience creating CCTV and ELV system layouts.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of CCTV system components, IP and analog camera configurations, cabling routes, network topology, and integration with NVRs and storage systems.
• Candidates should possess skills in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, preparing as-built documentation, and coordinating designs with other disciplines.
• Candidates should possess accuracy and attention to detail, including the ability to perform basic calculations for cable lengths, coverage areas, and equipment quantities.
• Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineers, project managers, and site technicians, and to respond promptly to design change requests.
• Candidates should possess a diploma or degree in engineering, drafting, or a related technical field, with prior experience as a CCTV or ELV draftsman; experience in Qatar or GCC projects is an advantage.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with relevant standards and local authority requirements (SSD, MOI) and an understanding of ISO-based quality procedures.
