Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Welder
  • Good knowledge of welding techniques and their applications
  • Ability to read technical drawings and sketches
  • Attention to detail and good manual dexterity skills
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy items
  • Willing to work overtime on short notice
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently as required
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in welding is a plus
  • Foreigners welcomed for this position.
Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts, assembly operations, or other procedures.
  • Assemble components using jigs, fixtures or welding equipment.
  • Inspect components for accuracy, defects or compliance with standards using micrometers, calipers, gauges or other measuring instruments.
  • Reads production schedule, customer order requirements or specifications to determine appropriate welding process.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the workspace and ensure it is free from hazardous materials.
Job Description

The Welder will be responsible for performing various types of welding processes in order to fabricate/repair metal components according to established standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting blueprints/drawings/specifications to determine the appropriate welding technique; ensuring that completed welds meet quality standards; selecting appropriate filler metals; maintaining a clean workspace; adhering to safety standards; inspecting welds for defects; keeping accurate records of welds completed;

operating manual welding equipment such as arc welders; MIG/TIG welders; operating gas torches; cutting torches and other related tools.
