BI Lead - Marketing
Welcome to Your Next Adventure!
In this position, you will work and collaborate with marketing managers, growth and CRM teams, data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders in a cross-functional setting. Your core function as a Marketing BI Analyst is to turn marketing and customer data into actionable insight that improves how we acquire, engage, and retain customers. You will own the metrics that define marketing health across the full customer lifecycle, from acquisition (customer acquisition cost, return on ad spend, conversion rate) to retention (repeat rate, churn, customer lifetime value), as well as the performance of our loyalty and subscription programs.
You will use these metrics to diagnose funnel leakage, measure campaign impact, optimize budget allocation across channels, evaluate the health and ROI of loyalty and subscription, and recommend changes that make our marketing more efficient, targeted, and profitable.
- Collaborate with performance marketing, CRM, brand, product, and engineering teams to implement data-driven solutions that improve acquisition efficiency, engagement, and retention.
- Define, monitor, and report on the core marketing KPIs, including CAC, ROAS, conversion rate, activation rate, retention, churn, customer lifetime value, and loyalty and subscription program metrics.
- Analyze and interpret complex marketing and customer data sets using statistical techniques and provide stakeholders with clear, actionable insight.
- Investigate leakage and drop-off across the customer funnel (awareness, install, registration, first order, repeat, retention) and recommend targeted improvements.
- Own reporting and analysis for retention and churn, including cohort retention curves, churn drivers, win-back performance, and early-warning signals for at-risk customers.
- Own the analytics for the loyalty and subscription programs, including enrollment and adoption, engagement and redemption behavior, renewal and cancellation, subscriber vs. non-subscriber economics, and overall program ROI.
- Measure campaign and promotion performance, support budget allocation across channels, and evaluate incrementality so spend flows to what actually drives growth.
- Analyze customer segments and cohort-level performance to inform targeting, personalization, and lifecycle strategy.
- Design and maintain dashboards and visualizations that give marketing teams real-time and historical visibility into performance.
- Stay up to date with industry trends in marketing analytics, attribution, and growth measurement to keep our capabilities competitive.
- Identify areas of opportunity, guide teams in designing complex growth initiatives, and mentor junior analysts in a collaborative environment.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a related field, such as data science, statistics, mathematics, economics, marketing analytics, or computer science.
- At least 5 years of experience in marketing, growth, or customer analytics, preferably in a fast-paced e-commerce, marketplace, or consumer app environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or R, as well as experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience working with campaign, funnel, and customer behavioral data (e.g., impressions, clicks, installs, sessions, orders, cohorts) and comfort with attribution and funnel analysis.
- Experience analyzing retention, churn, and repeat behavior, ideally including loyalty, rewards, or subscription/membership programs (enrollment, engagement, redemption, renewal, and cancellation dynamics).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract insight from large, messy marketing and customer data sets.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to translate marketing data into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders such as performance marketing, CRM, and brand teams.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify and correct errors in data.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, campaign-driven environment.
- Strong collaboration…
