Chesamel has a large team of marketing experts delivering on client projects across the globe, ranging from fully integrated and embedded consultancy to ad‑hoc on demand project delivery. You will be joining a collective focused on delivering excellent client servicing while leading business transformation for our clients.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Center of Excellence (CoE) Project Manager to lead the end‑to‑end planning, coordination, and execution of marketing and client‑facing events in Qatar.

This role will be responsible for delivering seamless, high‑impact experiences within the Cloud Centre of Excellence while partnering closely with local sales, marketing, agency partners, and external vendors.

The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment, takes ownership, and collaborates effectively across cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities Event Planning & Logistics (40%)
  • Centre of Excellence (CoE) Event Ownership
  • Lead the planning and execution of events hosted within the Cloud Centre of Excellence.
  • Own all CoE event logistics, including internal space bookings, facilities coordination, and brand compliance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all CoE‑based events, ensuring consistent standards and processes.
  • Support internal teams and partners in effectively utilising CoE spaces for customer, partner, and marketing events.
  • Develop and maintain event playbooks and best practice frameworks for CoE event delivery.
  • Measure, report, and optimise CoE event performance in alignment with regional marketing and sales objectives.
  • General Event Management
  • Partner with local agencies to coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual setup, branded materials, and onsite execution.
  • Manage end‑to‑end event operations, including GEMs ticketing, internal event space bookings, security, facilities, and AV requirements.
  • Oversee branded event assets such as banners, signage, badges, and lanyards.
  • Recruit, brief, and manage Brand Ambassadors.
  • Track and manage event budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and financial reconciliation.
Content & Marketing (25%)
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external partners, and local marketing teams to develop event content and execution playbooks.
  • Create and edit marketing copy for event landing pages, invitations, follow‑up communications, and related assets.
  • Coordinate with social media teams to support event promotion.
  • Proofread and localise content for event communications and collateral.
  • Provide presentation support, including slide development and formatting.
  • Share event playbooks and resources with partners to enable successful self‑managed events.
Stakeholder & Partner Management (20%)
  • Partner with local sales leadership and country teams to define event strategies and priorities.
  • Gather business requirements from sales, account teams, and senior stakeholders to ensure event objectives are achieved.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, agencies, and strategic partners.
  • Source, coordinate, and manage event speakers and presenters.
Audience Acquisition & Reporting (15%)
  • Drive attendee acquisition in partnership with sales teams, targeting priority accounts.
  • Manage event registration processes, including attendee approvals and communications.
  • Coordinate invitations, confirmations, reminders, and other attendee communications.
  • Track attendance, collect post‑event feedback, and deliver performance reporting and insights.
