We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our small-animal veterinary team in Doha. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality veterinary care to dogs and cats, including diagnosis, treatment, preventive healthcare, and surgical procedures. We are looking for someone who is passionate about animal welfare, works well with pet owners and colleagues, and is committed to maintaining high clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive examinations and consultations for dogs and cats.
- Diagnose and treat medical and surgical conditions.
- Perform routine and emergency surgical procedures.
- Develop appropriate treatment and preventive healthcare plans.
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments.
- Provide vaccinations, parasite control, and routine wellness services.
- Perform and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
- Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, prognosis, and aftercare.
- Handle emergency and critical cases appropriately.
- Maintain high standards of animal welfare, hygiene, and infection control.
- Work collaboratively with veterinary nurses, technicians, assistants, and other team members.
- Keep up to date with current veterinary practices, procedures, and professional standards.
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine/Veterinary Science (DVM, BVSc, or equivalent).
- Valid professional veterinary license/registration in Qatar.
- Previous experience in small-animal practice is preferred.
- Strong diagnostic, surgical, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
