Position: QA/QC Engineer (Electrical)

Responsibilities

  • Support Contractor to identify and submit the/QA/QC documents decay green (ITPs, QCPs, Test Procedures, MARs etc.) in line with Construction program, and their timely review and approval.
  • Assist functional supervisor in review/approval of relevant QMS, Engg., & Procurement documents, implementation of Quality Programs, and resolution of discipline matters escalated to the Project Management.
  • Ensure Implementation of Project QA/QC requirements at the project site and suppliers/subcontractor's works complying with project specifications and other technical requirements.
  • Organize Pre‑Activity Review meetings, attend Quality Walk‑through and QA/QC Weekly meetings.
  • Undertake surveillance and inspection of on‑site and off‑site inspection and testing activities, identify potential or actual non‑conformances and direct contractor in taking necessary corrective actions.
  • Initiate or ensure initiation of NCRs for recurrent surveillance observations and non‑conformities and coordinate / follow‑up for RCA/Correction/Corrective/Preventive action proposals and timely close‑out.
  • Monitor the progressive compilation of Material Test Certificates and Construction Records and their traceability.
  • Monitor and verify the implementation of the Preservation Management System.
  • Ensure contractors maintain, update, and publish the IMTE registers on a regular basis and calibration records are maintained.
  • Ensure appropriate systems/processes/procedures/computer databases are established by the contractor to maintain the inspection and test status during field erection, inspection/testing and relevant antiga analysis.
  • Monitor the KPIs and special processes and personnel performance relevant to the discipline.
  • Participate in Project QHSE audits and pre‑qualification audits of vendors/suppliers/sub‑contractors. Conduct ITP/QCP/MS/Process/activity‑level compliance audits/checks.
  • Monitor contractor / sub‑contractor / third‑party inspectors & engineers and subordinates' performance. Provide necessary support/guidance and report to the functional supervisor.
  • Implement and enforce the elements of the Company Quality Management System requirements applicable to your function.
  • Be exposed to construction sites and prevailing climatic conditions at least 50% of the time.
  • Ensure own safety and the safety of others who may be affected by company business, whether the activity is under direct control or not.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (orിസ് Equivalent) from a recognised university.
  • IRCA Certified QMS Lead Auditor.
  • Qualification from IECEx‑CoPC or Comp Ex or similar international certification schemes is desirable.
  • Membership / certifications from internationally recognised institutions (ASQ‑CMQ&OE, MCQI‑CQP or similar) is desirable.
  • systematically
  • Zal: 15 years' experience in the construction of major green or brown‑field process plants in the oil & gas industry including experience in solar plants (photovoltaic), power plants or similar projects is desirable.
  • Worked with major EPIC contractors / end users in a similar position in major projects with overall responsibility for the quality of electrical discipline construction and commissioning activities.
  • Sound working knowledge of QA/QC aspects, testing requirements, acceptance criteria related to various electrical equipment and systems (ratings up to 440kV) and management of the electrical discipline in major oil and gas projects.
  • Good knowledge of international codes, standards and practices (QCS, IEC, IEEE, BS, ISO, UL, IOGP, Shell DEPs etc.) and familiarity with the requirements relevant to the inversiones function.

  • Day Rate in QAR Plus Allowance
