QC Inspector III

JOB PURPOSE

Primary responsibility is to perform inspections and tests on raw materials, processes and finished products. Responsible for supervising and verifying the work of junior inspectors. Coordinates with Engineers and Supervisors, manages TPI/client inspections, and ensures product release documentation is accurate.

• Policies & Procedures:
  Ensure inspection activities follow approved standards, QMS, and client/project requirements.
• Training, control and Support to Junior QC inspectors:
  Train, guide, and monitor junior Inspectors (I & II).
• Verify inspection work and reports prepared by juniors.
• Be present during TPI/client inspections alongside juniors.
• In-Process Inspection and Product Inspection:
  Perform in-process inspections, raw material checks, and process monitoring.
• Conduct non-destructive and destructive testing.
• Carry out online/offline inspection of products per ITP.
• Inspect trading materials (gaskets, O-rings, etc.).
• Oversee qualification tests (short, medium, long-term).
• Reporting & Documentation:
  Prepare QC reports, MRBs, and qualification test records.
• Lead final inspection/release with TPIs and clients.
• Execute ERP system product transfers for released items.
• Stock checking:
  Lead stock counts and verify Infor LN ERP vs. physical inventory.
• Preparation of reports and TPI inspection, and release:
  Prepares the daily QC internal reports as well as project-specific documentation (part of Manufacturing Record Book - MRB) to be submitted to the Client.
• Carries out the final inspection and release together with the Customer TPIs and Client TPIs for all the products that come under the major projects based on the project-specific requirements. Also performs additional tests as per the ITP for the witness point of Customer/Client.
• PLEX QMS / Infor LN ERP System product transfer:
  Carries out PLEX QMS / Infor LN ERP system transfer for all the products which are being inspected and released by TPIs from the TPI location to the A1 location (FNL warehouse) to enable the delivery of products by the delivery department.
• Mold & Socket Sleeve inspection:
  Carry out steel mold and socket sleeve inspection either at the factory or at supplier’s premises as per the relevant engineering drawings to ensure that those molds are manufactured as per the given approved drawings.

• Enforce safety compliance among inspectors.
• Actively participate in QHSE audits and safety initiatives.

Internal: QC Engineer, Production, Projects, Delivery, Store & Inter group companies QC/Project department.

External:
Third-Party Inspectors

• Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing/Chemical/Civil Engineering.
• 5 - 7 years of experience in quality control within a pipe manufacturing or industrial fabrication environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing/Chemical/Civil).
• Proven track record in leading in-process and final inspections, including managing client and third-party inspections.

• QC inspection and testing of Raw Material and finished products.
• Reading and interpretation of engineering drawings
• Ability to use measuring and testing equipment
• Knowledge of Fiberglass material, Manufacturing process, QC inspection, and testing finished products. Knowledge of Raw Material and associated hazards, Material Safety Data, Resin mixing/dosage
• Knowledge of international standards related to fiberglass products Quality (dimensional, visual & QC requirements).
• Knowledge of using measuring/tools such as pi-tapes, measuring tapes, Vernier calipers / Knowledge of required quality standards, visual defect
• Ability to prepare reports.
• Well versed in MS Office applications
