Responsibilities
- Receive TPI packages from buyers and assign TPI.
- Check completeness of packages against standard requirements.
- Follow up with vendors to obtain missing documents.
- Verify manufacturer details in SAP‑Inspection Follow System IFS; if missing, advise vendors to provide address and contact details and update SAP‑IFS.
- Generate TPI assignment documents and advise manufacturers.
- Obtain signatures from Senior Materials Engineer Inspection.
- Transmit TPI assignment, unpriced purchase order copy, and attachments to TPI agency and advise manufacturer.
- Update all correspondences for each purchase order in SAP‑IFS.
- Identify documents required based on purchase order requirements and follow up with manufacturers for drawings, ITPs, QCPs, and procedure submissions.
- Participate in weekly review of existing TPI orders and update follow‑up status.
- Verify TPI reports for correctness and completeness.
- Record inspection hours and mileage based on specified locations.
- Ensure SAP‑IFS is updated with TPI report data.
- Maintain geographic‑specific type of inspection personnel, hours, and kilometers for invoicing.
- Confirm TPI release notes align with PO requirements and advise TPI agency on discrepancies.
- Coordinate with shipping section, vendors, and terms of delivery.
- Verify final certification and documentation meet PO requirements.
- Document approved documents, TPI reports, release notes, and certifications electronically in SAP.
- Prepare summary for liquidated damages issues as per buyer requests.
- Adhere to section work instructions and guidelines for inspection activities.
- Submit weekly and monthly reports to Senior Materials Engineer Inspection.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Electrical & Instrumentation engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience in QA/QC & inspection, with a minimum of 6 years in oil & gas or allied process industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in third‑party inspection.
- Strong knowledge of general engineering practices and international standards (API, ASME, ISO, NEMA, IEEE, IEC, NFPA, BASEEFA, ATEX, ANSI, ASTM, TEMA, BS).
- Thorough understanding of statutory regulations and ability to interpret specifications, measurements, and drawings.
- Proficiency in certification requirements for materials and plant equipment.
- Experience interpreting technical drawings, data sheets, and specifications, including ITPs, welding, NDT, painting, and test procedures.
- Knowledge of international safety standards applicable to the oil & gas industry.
- IOSH Managing Safely certificate or equivalent is mandatory.
