Job Description
The QA/QC Inspector plays a vital role in our organization, overseeing construction activities and maintaining the highest quality standards. This position is responsible for conducting inspections, testing, and ensuring compliance with project requirements, industry best practices, and international regulations. The Inspector will work closely with the QA GEC Supervision team to uphold the reputation of WSP International LLC-Qatar Branch.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive inspections of construction activities, including roads, highways, and infrastructure works, to verify compliance with Ashghal specifications and project quality plans.
- Perform material testing and analysis to ensure adherence to international standards and project-specific requirements.
- Document inspection results, test data, and any non-conformities, providing detailed reports to the project team for further action.
- Monitor construction progress, identify potential quality issues, and implement corrective measures to maintain project quality.
- Collaborate with project engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure a unified and effective quality control approach.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection activities and quality-related documentation for future reference and audits.
- Provide timely feedback and recommendations to improve construction processes, enhance project quality, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Stay updated with the latest industry standards, regulations, and best practices in road and infrastructure construction.
- Assist in developing and implementing tailored quality control plans for each project, ensuring they meet specific requirements.
- Promote a safe working environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards during construction activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in QA/QC inspection for road and infrastructure construction projects is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of Ashghal specifications and relevant international standards for road and infrastructure construction.
- Proficiency in using inspection equipment, testing instruments, and relevant software for data analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills to identify and address quality issues effectively, ensuring project compliance.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with diverse project teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet tight project deadlines.
- Valid driving license with a willingness to travel to construction sites as required for inspections.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with construction management software is preferred.
- Professional certification in QA/QC inspection or a related field is an advantage, demonstrating a commitment to quality.
