QC Inspector; Piping

QC Inspector (Piping) – Doha, Qatar

Position at a major Oil & Gas company overseeing piping and welding quality control.

• Education
  :
  Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Materials Engineering degree (or equivalent technical diploma) with direct experience in multi‑discipline construction quality control.
• Training & Membership
  :
  Formal QC training and membership with a recognized charted or other professional institution.
• Certifications (mandatory): CSWIP
  3.2 / AWS‑SCWI Senior Welding Inspector and NDT Level‑II (ASNT, ISO, etc.) certification. Preferred: BGAS grade‑2 / NACE Level‑2 Painting Inspector certificate or equivalent.
• Experience
  : 10years for Bachelor’s degree holders and 15years for technical diploma holders in similar Oil & Gas roles. Experience in GCC projects is desirable.
• Technical Skills
  :
  Hands‑on experience with storage tanks, piping, pipeline welding inspection and testing, and installation of static & rotating equipment. Sound knowledge of QC aspects and testing requirements for large oil & gas projects.

• Perform complex quality control inspections and testing of piping systems and storage tanks.
• Inspect welding and pipe connections to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
• Collaborate effectively with contractor personnel and multidisciplinary, multicultural project teams.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation.
• Oversee the installation of static and rotating equipment within quality control parameters.
