Site Inspector - QA​/QC

We are seeking a Site Inspector (QA/QC) who will ensure that design,procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover activitiescomply with contract documents, approved drawings, project specifications,client standards, statutory regulations and the approved Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewand monitor the contractor’s Project Quality Plan, ITPs, method statement sand quality procedures.
• Review material submittals, technical submissions and manufacturers’ documents before procurement and installation.
• Monitor inspections for:
• Structural works
• Mechanical systems
• Electrical and ELV systems
• Fire-protection systems
• Specialist systems
• Conduct regular site-quality inspections.
• Identify quality deficiencies and issue site observations and NCRs.
• Verify corrective and preventive actions.
• Review Requests for Inspection, material-delivery inspections and factory-acceptance documentation.
• Ensure that only approved materials and acceptable workmanship are incorporated into the project.
• Monitor approved mock-ups, sample panels and benchmark installations.
• Review laboratory test reports, third-party inspection reports, testing and commissioning procedures, TAB reports and integrated-system testing records.
• Verify completion of snagging, de-snagging and punch-list activities before practical completion and final handover.
• Participate in quality audits, progress meetings, technical coordination meetings andjoint site inspections.
• Maintain quality records, inspection registers, NCR logs, quality statistics and project documentation.
• Assist with payment-application reviews by confirming the quality and completion status of executed works.
• Promote continual improvement and ensure implementation of the Project Quality Management System throughout all project phases.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’sDegree in Civil Engineering.
• ISO
  9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification is highly desirable.
• Certified Quality Engineer or equivalent certification is an advantage.
• Minimum
  10 years of QA/QC experience in building-construction projects.
• Minimum5 years of experience in commercial office fit-out or high-end interior projects.
• Proven experience in Design & Build contracts.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Project Quality Plans
• ITPsand method statements
• Material and shop-drawing reviews
• RFIsand NCR management
• Corrective and preventive actions
• FATand SAT
• Testing and commissioning
• TAB
• Snagging and handover
• Quality auditing and document control
• Qatar experience and familiarity with QCS, Qatar Civil Defense and local authority regulations.
• Strong report-writing, analytical and documentation skills.
