The Laboratory Technician role at Unicoate For Industry is a full-time, on-site position based in Doha, Qatar. The Laboratory Technician will conduct routine tests and analyses on automotive and industrial paint samples to ensure products meet established quality and safety standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing samples, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, documenting test results, and assisting with quality control procedures. The role involves collaborating with production and technical teams to troubleshoot issues, support product development, and help optimize formulations.
The Laboratory Technician will also follow laboratory safety protocols, maintain organized records, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing methods and processes.
- Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills and experience working as laboratory technicians in industrial or chemical environments.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in handling and maintaining laboratory equipment relevant to paint and coatings testing.
- Candidates should possess quality control skills, including conducting standardized tests and verifying product conformity to specifications.
- Candidates should possess analytical skills to interpret test data, identify trends, and support problem-solving in collaboration with technical teams.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field is preferred.
- With 2 to 5 years experience in automotive and industrial paint formulations and testing methods.
- Ability to follow safety procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and work collaboratively in a production-focused environment.
- Basic computer skills for data entry, reporting, and use of laboratory information systems.
