Madre Integrated Engineering | Full time
We are looking for an experienced NDT Technician with validIRATA certification to perform non-destructive testing and inspectionactivities at height and in difficult-access areas. The technician will be responsible for conducting NDT examinations, rope-access inspection activities,recording inspection findings, and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with approved procedures, project specifications, and HSE requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities using approved inspection methods such as UT, MT, PTand other applicable techniques.
- Carry out inspection and testing activities using IRATA rope-access techniques in elevated, restricted,and difficult-to-access locations.
- Inspect welds, piping,structural steel, pressure equipment and other components for surface and internal defects.
- Set up, calibrate, operate and maintain NDT equipment in accordance with approved procedures.
- Interpret inspectionresults and identify discontinuities, defects, corrosion or materialdeterioration.
- Prepare accurate NDTinspection reports, test records and supporting documentation.
- Follow approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), NDT procedures and client/project specifications.
- Verify work areas, anchorpoints, rope systems and access arrangements before starting rope-accessactivities.
- Conduct pre-use inspections of ropes, harnesses, connectors, fall-protection systems and related equipment.
- Maintain full compliance with IRATA safety requirements, permit-to-work procedures and site HSEregulations.
- Participate in toolbox talks, Job Safety Analysis/JHA and risk assessments before commencing work.
- Coordinate with NDTsupervisors, inspectors, QA/QC personnel, engineers and site teams.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment defects and inspection abnormalities.
- Maintain NDT equipment,rope-access equipment and inspection tools in safe working condition.
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Welding, NDT or a relevant technical discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant NDT inspection experience, preferably within Oil & Gas,Petrochemical, Refinery, Offshore or Industrial projects.
- Valid IRATA Level 1, Level2 or Level 3 certification, depending on project requirements.
- Valid NDT certification in relevant methods such as:
- Ultrasonic Testing – UT
- Magnetic Particle Testing –MT/MPI
- Liquid Penetrant Testing –PT/DPI
- Visual Testing – VT
- NDT Level II certification in applicable inspection methods is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding ofweld inspection, corrosion detection, material defects and acceptance criteria.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, weld maps, isometric drawings and inspection procedures.
- Knowledge of rope-accessequipment, working-at-height requirements and rescue procedures.
- Physically fit andmedically capable of performing rope-access work at height.
- Strong awareness of HSErequirements and safe work practices.
- Ability to prepare clearinspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Good English communication skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
