This position is responsible for providing expert quality management leadership and technical guidance across offshore projects, with full accountability for the effective implementation and continual improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) within the Offshore Projects Department.

The role ensures compliance with Qatar Energy standards, Shell DEP requirements, project specifications, and applicable international codes and standards throughout all project phases. The successful candidate will oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of Project Quality Plans (PQPs) to ensure quality objectives are achieved and regulatory and contractual requirements are consistently met.
Required Experience And Skills- Minimum 15 years of QA/QC experience in the oil and gas industry, including significant offshore project experience.
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar Senior QA/QC Engineer or equivalent position.
- Qualified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor; additional quality-related certifications are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, international codes, standards, and QA/QC best practices.
- Experience across the full project lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Working knowledge of equipment and material inspection, certification processes, and associated QA/QC requirements.
- Sound understanding of offshore construction, welding, and non-destructive examination (NDE) techniques.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognized university, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- Membership of a recognized professional engineering institution is advantageous.
- Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation is desirable.
