Candidzone is a leading recruitment and HR solutions provider, connecting experienced professionals with reputable organizations across the GCC. We are currently seeking qualified and experienced Mechanical Piping / Welding Inspectors for an ongoing Gas Lift Project in Qatar.
The ideal candidates will have extensive inspection experience in the Oil & Gas industry, valid Qatar Energy approval, and strong technical knowledge of piping, welding, inspection procedures, and quality management systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform mechanical piping and welding inspections in accordance with project specifications and applicable standards
- Conduct visual inspections and verify welding activities, materials, and workmanship
- Perform and coordinate inspection activities involving VT, RT, UT, MT, and PT
- Review welding procedures, inspection reports, and quality documentation
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, approved procedures, and applicable codes
- Identify, report, and follow up on non-conformities and corrective actions
- Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, and engineering teams to ensure quality compliance
- Maintain inspection records and ensure proper documentation of inspection activities
- Support implementation of ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of inspection experience, including at least 5 years in Oil & Gas
- Valid Qatar Energy Approval is mandatory
- ASNT Level II certifications in VT, RT, UT, MT, and PT
- Valid CSWIP 3.2 Certification
- Strong knowledge of piping, welding inspection, and quality control procedures
- Good understanding of applicable industry codes, standards, and project specifications
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements and implementation
- Strong communication, coordination, and technical reporting skills
- Proven experience in mechanical piping and welding inspection within Oil & Gas projects
- Ability to work in accordance with project quality requirements and inspection procedures
- Must possess valid Qatar Energy approval and relevant professional certifications
- Candidates must be available for the required mobilization date
