Head of Research and Innovation

A prominent organization in Qatar is seeking an experienced research and innovation leader to develop and execute a strategic agenda focused on advancing women’s participation, performance, health, wellbeing, and leadership through sport.

• Develop the organization’s research and innovation strategy, governance framework, standards, and performance measures.
• Establish and manage a high-quality research center, function, or platform.
• Lead research portfolios, commissioned studies, pilot projects, and innovation initiatives.
• Translate evidence into practical programs, policies, frameworks, and recommendations.
• Build partnerships with universities, government entities, sports organizations, funding bodies, and industry partners.
• Oversee research budgets, external collaborations, grants, ethical compliance, and data governance.
• Represent the organization at relevant research, policy, and industry forums.

• At least 8–10 years’ experience in research, innovation, strategy
  , or evidence-based program development, including three years in a leadership capacity.
• Demonstrable experience establishing and managing research centers or functions and developing their strategies is essential.
• Relevant experience within women’s sport
  , sport development
  , public health, wellbeing, participation, or performance is strongly preferred.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative research expertise, with the ability to translate evidence into practical outcomes.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; a Master’s is preferred, and a PhD would be advantageous.
• Excellent English communication skills;
  Arabic would be an advantage.
