The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the kitchen team, ensuring that all food is prepared according to standards set by the restaurant, creating daily menus, preparing meals in a timely manner, monitoring food supplies and ordering new ingredients as needed.
The Chef should also be able to come up with creative ideas to attract more customers and improve the restaurant's reputation in the area.
The desired qualifications include at least two years of experience as a chef in a professional kitchen setting. Knowledge of modern cooking techniques and styles is essential, as well as skills in budgeting and cost-cutting measures. The candidate should also have an up-to-date food hygiene certificate and be familiar with relevant regulations regarding food safety. Excellent communication skills are required both with the staff and customers alike.
