About the Role:

Guest satisfaction:
  • Ensures to deliver the brand promise and always provide exceptional guest service.
  • Exercise responsible behavior at all times and positively represent the restaurant team and Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.
  • Ensures that all guest and associate complaints are resolved in a quick and efficient manner.
  • Maintains positive guest and associate interactions with good working relationships.
Operations:
  • Ensure that the guests' dining experience is one to remember.
  • Maintain a high-profile during service whilst being polite and helpful.
  • Promote and establish a regular guest base, remember their likes and dislikes.
  • Smile and maintain eye contact with the guests.
  • Provide prompt, unobtrusive, attentive service.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance, always wearing the full, correct, clean, uniform.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene.
Prior to Service:
  • Report for duty on time and be prepared for your shift. Adhere to agreed break times.
  • Ensure the bar has had all required opening procedures adhered to prior to starting a shift.
  • Ensure all MEP requirements have been met prior to service.
  • Requisition all necessary supplies.
  • Transport supplies from storeroom to bar set-up area and make sure enough ice is in stock.
  • Check cleanliness and condition of bar unit (C02 lines, soda tanks, soda guns, drain, etc.).
  • Check condition and cleanliness of blender, shaker and other tools.
  • Check the temperature of refrigeration units.
  • Ensure all out of stock items have been issued in the correct format.
  • Ensure all stocks have been brought from cellars in the appropriate manner and time.
During Service:
  • Take instructions from your supervisor and manager, anticipate their requirements.
  • Control and manage your section.
  • Serve within the structure of the order of service.
  • Respond to any menu/drinks queries with knowledgeable answers.
  • Ensure that individual Mise en Place for each order is known and placed on table.
  • Understand customers to be prioritized - SAGs unhappy customers, regulars etc.
  • Ensure your working environment remains clean and tidy.
  • Ensure the guests' needs come first.
  • React promptly and deal with any issues, complaints, breakages, spillages in the correct manner.
  • Communicate any unresolved issues to the supervisor.
  • Provide a consistent positive attitude when dealing with other associates.
  • To provide excellent teamwork to assist others.
After Service:
  • Ensure the bar is re-stocked and rubbish is removed.
  • Re-establish MEP requirements.
  • Ensure everything is left clean and tidy.
  • Report any outstanding issues to the Supervisor/Head Bartender/Bar Manager.
  • Follow closing procedures precisely.
  • Ensure the cellar spaces are maintained in the appropriate manner.
General Focus:
  • To have a full working knowledge of all beverage items, including wines.
  • To have a full knowledge of spirits, beers, wines, alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
  • To have a full understanding of all items of equipment, their uses, and where they are kept.
  • To have a thorough working knowledge of the POS system.
  • To have a full knowledge of bar OS&E and drinks garnishes
  • To have a full knowledge of the menu, preparation methods, presentations, items characteristics and prices.
  • Ensure to know the daily occupancy rate of the hotel, the number of arrivals and departures, SAGs guests.
  • Be familiar with all the services/characteristics and sites of interest/activities in the neighborhood, current or upcoming events in Doha (festivals, cultural events) to answer precisely to guest requests.
