JOB DESCRIPTION Specialty Beverage Barista (Coffee, Smoothies & Wellness Drinks)

Job Purpose The Specialty Beverage Barista is responsible for delivering a premium beverage experience through the preparation and presentation of specialty coffees, smoothies, protein shakes, matcha, functional beverages and wellness drinks. The role supports Society’s fitness and wellness-focused concept by ensuring exceptional product quality, guest engagement, operational excellence and adherence to food safety standards.

• Prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages, iced coffees, matcha, smoothies, protein shakes and wellness drinks according to approved recipes and standards.
• Execute high-quality latte art and maintain exceptional beverage presentation standards.
• Promote menu items, healthy add-ons and seasonal offerings to guests.
• Engage with members and guests, providing recommendations aligned with their fitness and wellness goals.
• Maintain consistency in beverage quality, taste, portioning and presentation.
• Operate POS systems accurately and process transactions efficiently.
• Monitor stock levels, support inventory counts and follow FIFO procedures.
• Ensure all workstations, equipment and service areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness.
• Comply with HACCP, food safety and hygiene requirements at all times.
• Support opening, closing and daily operational procedures.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a specialty coffee shop, wellness café, fitness club café or premium F&B concept.
• Experience preparing specialty coffees, smoothies, protein shakes and functional beverages.
• Food Safety or HACCP certification preferred.
• Previous experience in a health, fitness or wellness-focused brand is highly desirable.

• Strong knowledge of coffee extraction, espresso machines and brewing techniques.
• Advanced latte art and beverage garnishing skills.
• Knowledge of smoothie preparation, nutritional beverages and healthy lifestyle concepts.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic inventory management and stock control knowledge.
• Proficiency in POS systems and cash handling.

• The ideal candidate will have a passion for fitness, health and wellness, combined with strong expertise in specialty coffee preparation, latte art, smoothie production, beverage presentation and guest engagement. Experience with in fitness clubs, wellness cafés, specialty coffee brands or healthy lifestyle concepts is preferred.
