Position Overview

Qatar Airways is seeking a Buying Coordinator in Doha to support sourcing, development, and delivery of product ranges that meet cost, quality, and availability targets. This role plays a key part in supporting buyers, managing supplier coordination, and ensuring accurate stock flow to support commercial performance and customer satisfaction across operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Buyer in sourcing, developing, and delivering product ranges at the right cost, time, and location.
  • Prepare and process order files for Buying Officers to ensure timely completion of buying activities.
  • Assist in releasing RFQs and RFIs to obtain samples, pricing, and sourcing options.
  • Identify new suppliers and alternative sourcing options by reviewing store operations and consumption data.
  • Ensure accuracy of all data entered into ordering systems before submission to suppliers.
  • Oversee day-to-day buying activities of buying assistants to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Prepare and maintain buyer and supplier reports including shipping tracking, promotional, and sales reports.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and promoters on promotions and promotional stock including FOC items.
  • Conduct regular shop floor and warehouse reviews to monitor stock levels against business requirements.
  • Monitor product availability by analyzing stock on hand against sales performance.
Ideal Profile
  • Minimum 2 years of job-related experience in buying, purchasing, or order processing.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Working knowledge of order processing and buying operations.
  • Market awareness with understanding of the food and beverage or retail industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and team-oriented skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage stock data, reports, and supplier coordination effectively.
