Role Description

The Cashier role is a part-time, on-site position based in Doha, Qatar. The Cashier will handle customer transactions, operate the cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system, process cash, card, and digital payments, and issue receipts. Daily tasks include greeting customers, answering basic inquiries, maintaining accurate transaction records, and reconciling cash drawers at the end of shifts. The Cashier will also assist with packaging purchases, keeping the checkout area clean and organized, and following company policies related to returns, exchanges, and pricing.

This role requires consistent punctuality, a customer-focused attitude, and adherence to local regulations and internal procedures.

• Candidates should possess strong customer service and communication skills to interact professionally with a diverse range of clients.
• Candidates should possess basic math and cash-handling skills to manage payments, give correct change, and balance transaction records.
• Candidates should possess point-of-sale (POS) and basic computer skills to operate checkout systems and process electronic payments efficiently.
• Candidates should possess organizational and attention-to-detail skills to maintain accurate receipts, follow pricing policies, and keep the checkout area orderly.
• Candidates should possess reliability and integrity, with a commitment to punctuality, ethical handling of funds, and respect for confidential customer information.
• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or front-of-house cashier work is preferred but not strictly required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency in English; additional language skills such as Arabic are an advantage in Doha, Qatar.
