Summary – basic function of the role

The Senior Account Manager is responsible for driving strategic sales growth, managing key accounts, and leading complex negotiations within the Benelux. This role requires strategic networking, high-level negotiations, consultative selling, identifying new business opportunities, and mentoring junior account managers to ensure alignment with company objectives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Versatile salesperson capable of hands-on work and senior-level presentations
    ; strong territory/time management.
  • Maintain and grow client relationships; acquire new customers through cold calling, research, and networking; coordinate internally on equipment, quotes, and orders.
  • Address complex technical challenges
    , lead discussions, assess needs, and design tailored solutions.
  • Maintain account plans
    , visit reports, Salesforce opportunities; participate in weekly management reviews.
  • Mentor junior account managers
    ; collaborate with operations, finance, and marketing.
  • Provide competitive intel and product/market needs to support Hydratight growth.
  • Travel by car or air as needed; approx. 10% overnight.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or related field.
  • 8+ years industrial sales experience in infrastructure/fabrication markets.
  • Strong sales, prospecting, and closing skills
    .
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Reliable team player with strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    ; fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP (Oracle), and CRM (Salesforce).
  • Able to understand technical, financial, and legal documents
    .
  • Strong customer-focused problem solver
    .
  • Skilled in preparing quotations and professional correspondence.
  • Good mechanical and mathematical aptitude
    .
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
    .
  • Holds a valid driver’s license.
