Overview
Join Canonical as an Enterprise Account Executive and help accelerate the adoption of open‑source technology worldwide. Canonical’s flagship Linux distribution, Ubuntu, is now the leading platform for public cloud compute, AI, and edge computing. As an Enterprise Account Executive you will build and maintain profitable client relationships across a wide range of industries and help customers realize the full value of open‑source solutions.
Whatthe Role Involves
- Represent Canonical, its solutions and software, within your assigned territory.
- Develop and execute a territory plan to prioritize outreach and prospecting.
- Generate new pipeline through outreach, local marketing, and industry events.
- Close contracts to meet and exceed quarterly and annual bookings targets.
- Manage customer relationships and interactions through all stages of the sales cycle.
- Collaborate with field engineers to propose solutions that solve customers’ business problems.
- Work with customer success to identify growth opportunities and expand existing relationships.
- Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts within Salesforce.
- Establish productive professional relationships with key influencers and decision makers.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
- Experience with open‑source technology and solutions.
- Detail‑oriented with effective follow‑up.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in enterprise software or technology sales.
- Professional written and spoken English; additional languages relevant to the target market are a plus.
- Self‑discipline and motivation to succeed in a distributed team.
- Ability to travel regionally for client engagement, industry conferences, and international company events twice a year.
- Specific vertical experience – finance, telco, health, energy, public sector, or technology.
- Experience speaking at conferences or industry events.
- Distributed work environment with twice‑yearly team sprints in person.
