Responsible for ensuring the serviceability of all electrical equipment and systems under his department. The supervisor shall lead, manage and supervise a team of maintenance personnel to carry out preventive/corrective maintenance works as well as new installation works on various types of electrical installations within the assigned facilities and systems to ensure electrical systems are in immaculate condition for safe and seamless operation.

Responsible for effective and proper use of all resources and manpower with all aspects associated to the work.

• Plan, schedule, assign and supervise personnel in his custodial care for the execution of maintenance and improvement works in accordance to manufacturer and statutory requirements.
• Plan and supervise day to day maintenance activities to ensure completion within specified time frame.
• Conduct daily briefing of staff with attendance recording.
• Supervise work methods and processes to ensure safety, efficiency and high standards of output.
• Generate daily/weekly management reports for asset availability as per SOP.
• Accountable for all spare withdrawals from store and proper usage on site.
• Ensure availability of all required essential spare parts at all times.
• Plan and conduct in-house technical, safety trainings and briefings to personnel under supervision.
• Inspect all assets issued to the department including tools, equipment and vehicles.
• Conduct audit inspections of systems and infrastructures to meet quality standards and safety practices.
• Raise requisitions for spares and services as required.
• Plan, assign and supervise daily activities such as preventive maintenance schedules, shift roster and improvement works.
• Maintain records of all works, timesheets, attendance, leave and training.
• Respond to emergency calls after office hours and during weekends.
• Inspect completed works by external vendors to ensure all specifications and regulatory requirements are met.
• Perform shift work.
• Carry out other department duties related to the position as directed by the Head of the Department.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Qualifications And Experience

• High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification / Diploma or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience.
• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 2 years of job-related experience

• Preferred:
  Valid Qatar Driving License.

Job Specific Skills

• Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Knowledge of electrical applications for high and low voltage electrical systems.
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to electrical systems.
• Ability to prepare simple incident/progress reports.
• Fault finding on all types of electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret all types of technical drawings, layouts and as-built drawings.
• Awareness of airport operational restraints.
• Observant during routine inspections.
• Responsible attitude towards work.
• Skill in installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical system equipment and components.
• Skill in estimating time and material requirements of assigned work projects.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• Well versed with electrical rules and regulations.
• Command of English language.
• Able to work on shift pattern and after office hours for emergency response.
• Ability to assist in design requirements.
• Knowledge of Kahramaa electrical rules and regulations.
