Position: Senior Software Engineer - Oracle ASAP, UIM and CI/CD

We are hiring for one our clients which is a telecom operator in Qatar.

Key Responsibilities
  • Experience on ASAP installation and upgrade from 7.0 to 7.x.
  • ASAP install/upgrade on a complex/production system with Web Logic (1 managed server, 1 admin server and a node manager).
  • Configuration of ASAP for DB RAC set-up, DB & WLS Patch application process.
  • Usage of OCA and OCA Client Templates and various ways to test orders ASAP.
  • Monitoring of Oracle ASAP application and server performance.
  • Low level design, development, testing of ASAP cartridges.
  • Working knowledge of using Oracle Design Studio for development and deployment.
  • Analysis, debugging and resolution of failed Orders. Reviewing existing cartridges.
  • Deployment of new functionalities, revision and un-deployment of older functionalities.
  • Experience with Telecom Provisioning Operations for Small / Mid-size Mobile Telecom Operator.
  • Should be able to perform code build and deployment of the completed codes into the development and testing environment.
  • The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience with Oracle Unified Inventory Management (UIM) 7.4.x, 8, including UIM cartridge development, installation, and configuration.
  • The role requires strong expertise in logical and physical inventory modeling, along with the ability to design and implement rule sets, extension points, and calculate technical actions within UIM cartridges.
  • The candidate should have proven experience in integrating UIM with upstream and downstream systems using SFWS, custom web services, and UIM APIs. A solid understanding of UIM Inventory Managers such as Service Manager, CO Manager, and Search Criteria Manager is essential.
  • Strong technical skills in Unix/Linux environments, including shell scripting, are required, along with proficiency in Java, PL/SQL, and SQL for development and troubleshooting.
  • The candidate should possess good telecom network domain knowledge, including Wireless, DSL, and VoIP, with hands‑on experience in Voice, Data, and GSM service implementations.
  • Familiarity with TMF/eTOM frameworks, SID data models, and Oracle RODOD/RSDOD solutions is expected. Additionally, the role demands strong problem‑solving abilities, experience in troubleshooting and configuring base application packages, and the capability to maintain high‑quality technical and functional documentation.
  • UIM installation and upgrade on a complex/production system with cluster implementation.
  • The candidate must have hand‑on experience on UIM upgradation. This includes the expertise on data migration from one version to another version.
  • Good understanding on Oracle Weblogic server installation, configuration, tuning, scaling and integration with other Weblogic applications.
  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Manage and maintain source code repositories using Git, including branching strategies and version control best practices.
  • Integrate and manage artifact repositories (JFrog Artifactory) for storing and versioning build artifacts.
  • Implement and manage containerization solutions using Docker and maintain container images in Harbor registry.
  • Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes clusters, ensuring scalability, high availability, and reliability.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline Dev Ops workflows.
  • Ensure secure CI/CD practices, including credential management, secret handling, and compliance controls.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure performance.
  • Implement and maintain pipeline-as-code practices and reusable templates.
  • Perform regular upgrades, patching, and maintenance of CI/CD tools and platforms.
Required Technical Skills
  • Strong hand‑on experience in ASAP cartridge development
  • Strong experience in Telecom provisioning on downstream (preferable Nokia) network elements
  • Strong hand‑on experience in UIM cartridge development and custom web services implementation
  • Strong scripting skills in Shell (Bash).
  • Strong proficiency in Core Java / J2EE
  • Experience with multithreading, collections, memory management, and design patterns.
  • Experience in REST/SOAP web services
  • Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQ
  • Proficiency in Shell scripting (Unix/Linux)
  • Hands‑on experience with Docker (image creation, container lifecycle management)
  • Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes (pods, deployments, services, config maps, secrets)
