As a Compliance Software Developer at BSTS and Associates IT, you will be responsible for designing and programming secure software systems that automate compliance tracking, audit trails, and data governance. You will work closely with our legal, risk, and cybersecurity teams to translate strict local and international regulatory frameworks (such as GDPR, AML, and Qatar National Cyber Security standards) into clean, uncompromised code.

- Design, develop, and maintain secure, high‑performance web and enterprise applications focused on compliance, auditing, and risk management.
- Build and optimize automated systems for immutable data logging, tracking user permissions, and generating audit‑ready compliance reports.
- Translate complex regulatory, financial, and data privacy laws into programmatic logic, business rules, and validation scripts.
- Implement advanced encryption standards, secure access control (RBAC/ABAC), and data masking techniques to safeguard sensitive corporate data.
- Develop secure RESTful APIs to integrate compliance engines with existing client enterprise resource planning (ERP) and core banking systems.
- Conduct regular code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and automated security testing to ensure zero compliance drift.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field. - Proven Experience:
3+ years of professional software development experience, preferably within Reg Tech, Fin Tech, legal tech, or enterprise software development. - Backend Proficiency:
Strong mastery of modern backend technologies, such as Python (Django/FastAPI), Node.js, C# (.NET Core), or Java. - Database & Integrity:
Deep experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL, or Oracle) with a strong understanding of transaction isolation levels and data integrity. - Security Mindset:
Solid understanding of cryptography, secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10), and identity management protocols (OAuth2, SAML, OIDC). - Communication:
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; the ability to articulate technical security concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. - Nice‑to‑Haves:
Experience with blockchain or distributed ledger technology (DLT) for immutable record‑keeping; familiarity with automated compliance testing tools and continuous security monitoring (Dev Sec Ops ); prior experience working with Qatari regulatory frameworks or GCC financial compliance standards; knowledge of Arabic is a plus but not mandatory.
