Join Scale AI's International Public Sector team to build AI applications that directly affect millions of citizens. You will work onsite with government counterparts in Qatar, translating complex mission needs into production-ready software.

• Lead technical strategy for public sector projects, turning unclear requirements into detailed architecture plans and overseeing onsite delivery
• Design foundational frameworks for production AI applications, establishing standards for how user interfaces, backend services, and AI models connect at scale
• Oversee cloud infrastructure evolution with a focus on security, global scalability, and long‑term system health across all environments
• Drive development of shared platforms and services that address common needs across varied international client projects
• Collaborate with leadership across functions to shape the technical roadmap, mentor engineers at all levels, and maintain a unified architecture vision
• Translate lessons learned from client deployments into reusable patterns that benefit the broader engineering organization

• Masters or PhD in Computer Science, or equivalent depth of industry experience designing complex distributed systems
• 10+ years of full-stack development with Python, Node.js, and React
• Demonstrated history of building high-scale architectures on Kubernetes and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Ability to design and maintain production‑grade systems with strong standards for security, reliability, and scalability
• Hands‑on experience deploying and troubleshooting complete solutions in high‑security client environments
• Self‑directed leadership style with the ability to navigate ambiguity, mentor senior team members, and define technical direction
• Skilled at driving asynchronous collaboration and documentation‑first practices to improve global team efficiency

• Previous startup experience as CTO or founding engineer, or in a forward deployed or dedicated customer engineer role
• Cross‑functional collaboration experience with operations teams
• Track record building LLM‑based solutions with an eye toward future‑proofing against shifts in the AI landscape
• Arabic language proficiency

• Residency and employment in Qatar require visas and permits issued by Qatari authorities.
