The candidate must have experience using professional automotive diagnostic and programming equipment Experience with the following types of systems is preferred OEM diagnostic software for Chinese vehicle manufacturers OEM programming configuration platforms Multi-brand professional diagnostic tools Advanced OBD diagnostic equipment J2534 Pass-Thru programming interfaces CAN diagnostic tools Vehicle communication interfaces Oscilloscopes where required Multimeters and automotive electrical test equipment Battery support power supply equipment used during programming Experience with professional platforms from manufacturers such as Launch Autel Xtool Thinkcar or equivalent professional diagnostic systems is advantageous However experience with OEM Chinese manufacturer diagnostic and programming software is considered particularly valuable

VOLT is seeking a highly skilled Chinese Vehicle Programming Diagnostics Expert specializing in the programming coding configuration diagnostics and advanced electronic troubleshooting of modern Chinese vehicles The candidate must have strong hands-on experience working with Chinese automotive brands and their electronic control systems diagnostic platforms communication networks and software-based vehicle functions This position requires significantly more than basic OBD fault-code scanning The successful candidate must be capable of performing advanced diagnostics ECU module programming and configuration feature activation module replacement configuration software firmware updates calibration and troubleshooting of complex vehicle electronic systems The candidate will also support VOLT s automotive accessories business by resolving software and electronic integration issues that may occur when installing aftermarket or OEM-style accessories on modern Chinese vehicles

The candidate should have extensive practical experience with modern Chinese vehicles Experience with multiple brands is strongly preferred including BYD Geely Chery Jetour GAC Changan Haval Tank Great Wall Motor GWM MG Hongqi Exeed BAIC JAC Zeekr and other major Chinese automotive brands The candidate should understand Chinese vehicle electronic architecture Electronic Control Units ECUs Body Control Modules BCMs Gateway modules Infotainment systems Instrument clusters ADAS systems Camera and radar systems Keyless entry and convenience systems Climate-control electronics Lighting control systems Seat and comfort modules Parking assistance systems Vehicle communication networks EV and hybrid electronic architecture where applicable Experience across multiple Chinese manufacturers and diagnostic ecosystems is highly desirable

The primary responsibility of this position is advanced vehicle programming and configuration The candidate should have practical experience with ECU programming ECU coding Module coding Module configuration Variant coding Parameter configuration Vehicle personalization Feature activation deactivation Replacement module configuration Control-module adaptation Software firmware updates Module initialization System resets and relearning procedures Component matching Vehicle-specific configuration Post-installation programming Programming after module component replacement The candidate must understand the risks associated with vehicle programming and follow proper procedures to avoid module corruption communication failure or vehicle immobilization

The candidate must have advanced diagnostic capabilities beyond basic fault-code reading Responsibilities include Full vehicle diagnostic scanning DTC analysis Live-data analysis Freeze-frame analysis Module communication testing Actuator testing Active tests Input output testing Sensor-data analysis Network fault diagnosis Intermittent electronic fault diagnosis Electrical fault diagnosis Communication error diagnosis Identifying software versus hardware faults Root-cause analysis Troubleshooting module communication failures Troubleshooting faults following accessory installation Verifying repairs through post-repair diagnostic scans The candidate should be capable of developing a logical diagnostic process rather than simply replacing components based on fault codes
