The Cargo Delivery Clerk is responsible for coordinating and documenting the receipt and delivery of cargo, ensuring accurate records, compliance with procedures, and smooth coordination between transporters, warehouse/yard teams, and clients.
Responsibilities- Process cargo delivery and receipt documentation (delivery notes, gate passes, invoices)
- Verify cargo details against manifests and delivery documents
- Coordinate with transport drivers, warehouse/yard staff, and operations teams
- Ensure correct cargo is released and delivered to authorized parties only
- Maintain accurate records of cargo movements and deliveries
- Update cargo logs and tracking systems
- Report discrepancies, damages, or missing cargo immediately
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and company procedures
- Assist in scheduling deliveries and controlling cargo flow
- Support audits and inspections related to cargo documentation
