Vessel Supervisor

Overview

The Vessel Supervisor is responsible for overseeing vessel operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant marine activities. The role involves coordinating with vessel crew, port authorities, and shore-based teams to ensure operational excellence, adherence to maritime regulations, and timely completion of assigned tasks.

• Supervise daily vessel operations, including navigation, cargo handling, and deck activities
• Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations (IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL) and company policies
• Monitor vessel safety standards and enforce safe working practices onboard
• Coordinate with captains, engineers, and crew for operational planning and execution
• Liaise with port authorities, clients, and offshore/onshore teams as required
• Oversee maintenance activities and ensure vessels are seaworthy at all times
• Conduct inspections, audits, and toolbox talks onboard vessels
• Monitor vessel schedules, fuel consumption, and operational performance
• Prepare operational reports, incident reports, and daily activity logs
• Support crew management, including discipline, performance monitoring, and training
• Respond to emergencies and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly

• Diploma / Technical Certificate in Marine, Mechanical, or related field (preferred)
• Minimum 3–7 years of experience in vessel or marine operations
• Prior experience as a Deck Foreman, Bosun, or Senior Deckhand preferred
• Valid STCW certification (Basic Safety, PPE, First Aid, Firefighting)
