Freighter Load Control Officer - Doha, Qatar
Qatar Airways Cargo is seeking a skilled Freighter Load Control Officer to manage centralized weight and balance functions across its global freighter network. The role ensures safe, efficient, and optimized freighter operations through accurate load planning, cargo distribution, and coordination with ground and flight operations teams.

- Prepare freighter load plans, load sheets, and related documents using the CLC system.
- Ensure aircraft center of gravity, loading sequences, and segregation rules comply with safety and regulatory standards.
- Make operational decisions regarding offloads, load adjustments, and recovery planning.
- Act as the operational focal point for freighter weight and balance activities.
- Coordinate with stations to finalize unit load sheet (UWS) including NOTOC information.
- Generate loading instruction reports for ramp teams and supervise adherence to guidelines.
- Prepare and transmit preliminary and final load sheets based on flight and fuel details.
- Ensure timely communication with stations during schedule disruptions or diversions.
- Contribute to process improvements and optimization of cargo load efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum three years of experience in freighter or wide-body aircraft load control.
- Weight and balance certification for freighter or wide-body passenger aircraft.
- Valid Dangerous Goods Regulation (DGR) certification (CAT
10 or CAT6). - Sound understanding of IATA cargo handling regulations.
- Proficiency in English communication, both spoken and written.
- Expertise in load control systems and aircraft performance principles.
- Ability to handle high-pressure operational environments.
- Strong coordination, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and cargo management software.
