Position Overview

Qatar Airways Cargo is expanding its global operations team and is seeking a Senior Regional Cargo Network Operations Officer in Doha. This role supports end-to-end cargo operations across the network, ensuring cost efficiency, operational compliance, and high service standards while working closely with regional teams, ground handling agents, and network partners. The position plays a key role in maintaining Qatar Airways Cargo's leadership in the international air freight industry.

• Monitor operational costs across the cargo network and develop effective cost control mechanisms
• Ensure invoices are issued correctly in line with agreed SGHA terms through regular verification and review
• Track and analyze cost performance against budgets at regional and station levels
• Support and participate in cost control initiatives in coordination with regional cargo teams
• Facilitate periodic cost performance review meetings and conference calls, ensuring corrective actions are defined and implemented
• Act as a coordination interface between Finance, Cargo Operations, ground handling agents, and regional teams on invoice submissions and approvals
• Support timely actioning of AQD items and ensure corrective and preventive measures are implemented in coordination with the Cargo Safety team
• Conduct regular station visits and performance review meetings with ground handling agents
• Serve as a key point of contact for network handling partners regarding investigations, operational feedback, escalations, and general operational queries
• Minimize discrepancies and non-conformances to reduce claims, penalties, and carrier liability while improving customer satisfaction

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 5 years of experience in airline or ground handling operational support roles
• Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-station cargo operations environment

• Strong knowledge of GHA operational systems and processes
• In-depth understanding of SGHA agreements and invoice verification
• Experience monitoring and controlling operational costs
• Knowledge of aviation safety, security, and project management principles
• Prior experience supporting freighter operations including B747F, B777F, and A330F aircraft
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
