Assistant Operation Controller | Qatar Executive

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Operations Controller in generating flight plans, pre‑flight briefings, Flight Watch, and arranging diplomatic permits, while considering business requirements, regulatory conditions at respective destinations, safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

  • Ensure efficient and prompt response to charter sales inquiries to meet business objectives.
  • Perform operational checks to determine if changes in operational and meteorological conditions may affect flight safety within a prescribed area or on assigned routes and communicate these changes to Operations Controllers (Flight Dispatchers).
  • Provide strong and reliable support for diplomatic permit applications to ensure timely authorizations.
  • Liaise with Charter Sales and respond to all charter inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Notify Charter Sales if a NOTAM, slot, parking, or any other information received affects the schedule.
  • Keep operational systems updated with all flight‑related information, including arrival and departure permit status, validity, planned routes, and any restrictions.
  • Support IOC Management proactively by addressing all NCC issues and cost details to enhance cost‑effective operations and ensure QE service quality excellence.
  • Promptly highlight all critical operational issues, such as pending permits affecting schedules or airport restrictions impacting CAT and NCC fleet passengers (VIPs & VVIPs), to the IOC Duty Manager.
  • Coordinate with Qatar Embassies and civil aviation authorities worldwide to arrange diplomatic permits.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum 4 years of job‑related experience.
  • Possession of Flight Dispatch License/Certificate or equivalent issued by a Regulatory Authority or approved institution.
  • Business Aviation Operator experience along with working knowledge of being in a highly stressful and dynamic operational aviation environment (preferred).
  • Prior knowledge of dispatching jet aircraft, EDTO, MNPS, PACOTS and AUSOTS and EASA Air Operations Regulations will be a plus.
  • Well‑developed analytical thinking with strong interpersonal skills.
