- Coordinate and manage import and export shipments from origin to final delivery.
- Handle customs clearance procedures and ensure timely clearance of shipments.
- Prepare, verify, and maintain shipping and customs documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and other required documents.
- Coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, shipping lines, transport companies, and clearing agents
. - Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to relevant internal departments.
- Ensure all customs declarations and documentation comply with Qatar customs regulations and applicable import/export requirements
. - Coordinate transportation arrangements for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Follow up on customs duties, clearance charges, port charges, storage, demurrage, and other logistics-related expenses.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, customs declarations, clearance documents, and related transactions.
- Identify and resolve shipment delays, customs issues, documentation discrepancies, and other logistics-related challenges.
- Coordinate with Finance, Procurement, Sales, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure smooth movement of goods.
- Monitor delivery schedules and ensure goods reach the required destination within agreed timelines.
- Assist in evaluating freight forwarders, clearing agents, and logistics service providers.
- Maintain proper tracking reports for shipments, customs clearance, and deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, customs regulations, and international trade requirements.
- Prepare regular logistics and customs clearance reports for management.
- Perform other logistics and administrative duties assigned by management.
- This specialist will be responsible for operational execution, carrier bookings, documentation audits, customs clearance liaison, and cross-border road dispatch.
